Scrapbooking is not only a decorative art for a photo book; this art form can also be used to create beautiful Christmas decorations. There are a million and two ways to make a scrapbook project into a holiday decoration. First, everyone loves photos of their family and what better way than to make an extra scrapbook piece to hang on the tree or in the family room.

It only takes a minute more and can really dress up the entire room. Because most decorators love to use family photos to decorate the walls anyway, this is just another easy way to create lasting and sentimental decorations.

Christmas tree ornaments have been purchased over the years, but many have found comfort in creating their own tree hanging memorials. From the family pet to the family members that have passed, scrapbook photo ornaments make a great way to decorate the tree and remember past times. These ornaments can be made from plaster of Paris or from the famous art of origami.

The decorating and color schemes are up to the artist, which could be made in such a way to represent the Christmas holiday. This can be time consuming, but looks very good when it is completed and one can be very proud of the work that they completed for the holiday spirit.

Since most people have many family portraits and photos sitting around it is also possible to take the time and create Christmas a style backgrounds, frames and spruce up the picture to represent that special Christmas time spirit. Cheap frames can be purchased, then painted and cut outs as well as other wooden decorations can be added to dress them up.

Not only are these frames custom, but they also represent the uniqueness of the family itself. Text such as names, dates and other journaling type entries can be added a long the frame as well to tell the story of the picture and memory that is attached.

Scrapping is a very popular way to create photo books and other memory related items using pictures. However there are many ways that this same art form can be used to decorate a home for Christmas are in the other holiday for that matter. Ideas can be obtained from online, scrapbook magazines or visiting a local scrapping club.
